The x64 builds run on modern PC-Linux and the aarch64 on every 64 Bit ARM-Linux like Raspberry Pi, Ampere Altra and other. Debian 12 and higher recommended.

Important for the Arm64 Version

The Arm version targets the Raspberry Pi and uses libVLC as its playback backend. On the Pi, VLC reaches the hardware decoder through the V4L2 M2M interface exposed by the bcm2835-codec kernel module, which is what makes hardware-accelerated video playback work. The AppImage does not bundle VLC and NSS, so you need to install vlc and libnss3 from your distribution.
